L.A. Exhibition at Knit Culture Studio!

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be having my first Los Angeles exhibition of the knit skeleton! A new iteration of Transcending the Material will be on display at Knit Culture Studio. Come join us for the opening reception Thursday, September 8th 5pm-7pm (full details below).

About Ben Cuevas

Ben Cuevas is a Los Angeles based interdisciplinary artist whose work spans a wide range of mediums including installation, sculpture, fiber, photography, video, performance, and sound. Often incorporating several of these elements into any given piece, he makes use of digital media as a means of documentation. In light of its pluralistic qualities, he sees his work as a reflection on the condition of embodiment, exploring what it means to have a body, to inhabit a body, to be a body incarnated in, and interacting with this world.

When will you have knit instructions to make this? Do you need a technical writer/editor to write the instructions for you? Let me know because I’d qualify to write the instructions for you (if I had the piece to look at to write it).

I love it !!! Would be great to have one in my medical library 🙂 Or at the entrance.
Unfortunately, Los Angeles is so far far away. I would love to visit your exhibition!

Amazing. Read about you in Private Eye, No. 1294.

  7. Did you ever reply to Linda’s question above? It would be wonderful if you would consider releasing a pattern so fans can create versions of your art to have in their homes.
